Description

The constructed tapping sleeve merges the durability and adaptability of fabricated steel with the conventional side and end gasketed mechanical joint structure. These sleeves excel in installations where strength, weight, and beam load factors are of utmost importance, especially in challenging setups.

High Strength Steel – prevents the occurrence of stress-induced cracks in the casting or flange.

True Mechanical Joint Design – durable, industrial-grade steel construction and robust pusher glands ensure stability, minimizing the warping and distortion often seen in tapping sleeves with split steel coupling designs. The JCM 114 model adheres to the design standards outlined in AWWA C110/111 and ANSI 21.10/21.11, ensuring precise tolerances, dimensions, and configuration consistent with the trusted mechanical joint seal. Side and end gaskets ensure a comprehensive seal along the pipe.

Fabricated Sleeves – offers enhanced strength with considerably lighter weight compared to cast sleeves. The reduced weight minimizes strain on the pipe and facilitates easier installation and handling.
Adaptable to Non-Standard Pipe Conditions – Able to accommodate oversize, undersize, or irregular pipe outer diameters, enhancing performance and safety. The JCM 414 is available in larger sizes, non-standard dimensions, and with various special options such as special flanges and custom laying lengths.

Improved Availability – fabricated sleeves in non-standard sizes can be delivered within three to five weeks, a considerable improvement over the six to nine months typically required for cast sleeves.
