136 Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Repair Clamp
Description
The JCM 136 Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Repair Clamp combines the corrosion-resistant properties of stainless steel, the full circumferential gasketing found in a Universal Clamp Coupling, and the triangular bolting configuration of a traditional Tapping Sleeve. This unique design results in a repair clamp coupling capable of withstanding high working pressures.
Constructed entirely of stainless steel, either in 304 or 316 grade, this clamp offers exceptional resistance to corrosion, making it ideal for harsh or acidic environments.
Employing a traditional Tapping Sleeve bolting system with a triangular lug design, the JCM 136 allows for pass-through and replaceable bolts. This bolting configuration eliminates alignment issues and enables tightening on both sides of the pipe. Built from heavy-duty stainless steel with a minimum standard material of 14-gauge prime material, the 136 model ensures robustness and durability.
The stainless steel shell, both strong and flexible, conforms effortlessly to uneven or irregular pipe surfaces, ensuring complete compression of the gasket against the pipe wall. The full circumferential gasket, with a gridded design and a thickness of 1/4 inch, forms a watertight seal around the entire circumference of the pipe. Its durometer hardness allows the rubber to adapt to and fill the pits and voids present on uneven pipe surfaces.
